Product Overview
The Wishpower 66kV anti-wind deviation composite insulator is generally installed on transmission towers where conductor wind deviation may reduce electrical clearances. It provides both insulation and mechanical support, helping restrict lateral conductor movement during strong wind conditions.
Compared with traditional porcelain insulating components, the Wishpower composite design offers several advantages:
High-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber housing with excellent hydrophobic properties.
High-strength fiberglass-reinforced epoxy core rod for mechanical load transfer.
Lightweight construction for easier transportation and tower installation.
Reliable sealing between the housing, core rod and metal end fittings.
Customizable fittings for different tower structures and installation arrangements.
Suitable for coastal areas, mountain passes, valleys and open plains.
Improved resistance to pollution, moisture, ultraviolet radiation and corrosion.
The product helps reduce the possibility of conductor-to-tower flashover, line tripping and insulation failure caused by excessive conductor movement.
Core Features
Conductor Wind-Deviation Control
The structural arrangement limits lateral conductor movement and helps maintain the required electrical clearance under strong wind conditions.
Reliable Electrical Insulation
The silicone rubber housing provides stable external insulation performance in wet, polluted and salt-fog environments.
High Mechanical Strength
The fiberglass core rod withstands tensile, bending and dynamic loads generated by conductor movement and wind pressure.
Lightweight Construction
The composite design is lighter than comparable porcelain components, reducing transportation and high-altitude installation requirements.
Pollution and Weather Resistance
The insulator is suitable for industrial pollution, coastal salt fog, high humidity, ultraviolet exposure and substantial temperature variations.
Corrosion-Resistant End Fittings
Hot-dip galvanized steel, stainless steel or project-specified metal fittings can be selected according to the installation environment.
Custom Engineering Options
The overall length, creepage distance, mechanical rating, installation angle and end-fitting configuration can be adapted to project requirements.
Product Structure
A typical Wishpower 66kV anti-wind deviation composite insulator consists of the following components:
Fiberglass Core Rod
The fiberglass-reinforced epoxy core rod is the principal mechanical load-bearing and internal insulating component.
Silicone Rubber Housing and Sheds
The high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber housing increases creepage distance and provides hydrophobic, weather-resistant external insulation.
Metal End Fittings
The end fittings connect the insulator to the tower, crossarm or conductor-side hardware. Ball-and-socket, clevis, eye, trunnion and customized fittings are available.
Crimped Connection Area
A controlled crimping process connects the core rod and metal fittings, allowing mechanical loads to be transferred safely.
Interface Sealing System
Sealing is provided around the fitting and housing interfaces to reduce the ingress of moisture, dust and corrosive contaminants.
Grading and Arc-Protection Accessories
Grading rings, arcing horns or other protective accessories may be installed according to electric-field and insulation-coordination requirements.

Industrially polluted and heavily contaminated line sections.
Testing Capability
Depending on the selected model and project specification, the 66kV anti-wind deviation composite insulator may undergo the following tests:
Visual and Dimensional Inspection
The housing surface, fitting coating, structural dimensions, installation length and interfaces are checked against approved drawings.
Specified Mechanical Load Test
The test verifies the mechanical integrity of the core rod, end fittings and crimped connection.
Lightning Impulse Withstand Test
The insulation is tested under specified lightning impulse voltage conditions.
Power-Frequency Wet Withstand Test
This test evaluates external insulation performance under simulated wet operating conditions.
Interface and Sealing Test
The interfaces between the core rod, silicone rubber housing and end fittings are checked for sealing integrity.
Dye Penetration Test
The test identifies capillary channels or defects in the fiberglass core rod that may affect long-term reliability.
Water Diffusion Test
This test assesses the core rod’s resistance to moisture penetration and related electrical degradation.
Galvanizing Inspection
The thickness, uniformity and adhesion of the zinc coating on hot-dip galvanized fittings are inspected.
Housing Material Test
