Product Overview
Strain Insulator
A strain insulator is used where an overhead line must withstand conductor tension while maintaining reliable electrical insulation. Typical positions include dead-end structures, angle structures, section points and other locations where the conductor applies a significant mechanical load to the supporting hardware.
WishPower supplies strain insulators for transmission and distribution projects. The final design should be selected according to system voltage, required mechanical strength, creepage distance, pollution conditions, end-fitting arrangement and installation geometry. For replacement projects, the original insulator drawing or sample dimensions should be provided so that overall length and hardware interfaces can be checked before production.
Product Features
- Designed to combine electrical insulation with mechanical tension-bearing capability.
- Suitable for dead-end, angle and other high-tension positions on overhead lines.
- Mechanical rating can be selected according to conductor tension and line design.
- Creepage distance and external insulation profile can be adapted to pollution and environmental conditions.
- End fittings can be coordinated with existing line hardware and project drawings.
- Composite construction can provide reduced weight and convenient handling for outdoor line installation.
- Identification marking, dimensional drawings and export packing can be customized for project supply.
Technical Specifications

Applications
- Transmission-line dead-end structures
- Distribution-line dead-end structures
- Angle and section structures
- Overhead-line tension positions
- Utility line construction and refurbishment
- Industrial and infrastructure power networks
Selection Considerations
Strain-insulator selection should not be based on voltage alone. Mechanical load, conductor tension, fitting type, creepage distance, installation orientation, pollution level, altitude and overall dimensions should be reviewed together. Where the insulator is used as a replacement, matching the existing hardware interface and total installed length is especially important.
WishPower Project Support
WishPower supports project-based strain-insulator supply from technical inquiry through drawing confirmation, production coordination and export delivery. To prepare an accurate proposal, customers can provide the system voltage, required mechanical load, fitting combination, creepage requirement, dimensional drawing, quantity and destination.
If some project parameters are not yet confirmed, WishPower can review the available line and hardware information first and identify the technical data that should be finalized before production.
